Suitability

Is G Lift Right For Me?
Who It Suits, Who Waits

Suitability is decided at an examination. This checklist explains the usual reasons to go ahead, wait, or see a gynaecologist first.

May Suit

G Lift may suit you if

  • You have mild looseness or reduced sensation after childbirth.
  • You have dryness around perimenopause or after menopause, and medical causes have been checked.
  • You prefer a non-surgical option and accept that change is gradual and varies.
  • For GF Lift, you also have darker external skin from friction or hormones.

Wait

Wait if

  • You are pregnant or may be pregnant.
  • You gave birth recently and have not had your postnatal check, or a tear has not healed.
  • You have an active genital or urinary infection, including a herpes outbreak.
  • You are breastfeeding and would prefer to wait for tissue to recover.

Check First

See a gynaecologist first if

  • You have bleeding between periods or after menopause.
  • Your cervical screening is overdue or abnormal.
  • You have a bulge, dragging feeling, or leak urine on most days.
  • You have pain during intercourse or a new lump.

Not Suitable

Usually not suitable

A pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the pelvis, active gynaecological cancer treatment, or an undiagnosed pelvic problem. Dr. Sin Yong is an aesthetic physician with the Professional Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RCPI); anything that needs a gynaecologist is referred.

FAQ

Common Questions

Often yes, once fully healed and checked, but the plan depends on why the surgery was done and how the vaginal vault healed. This is assessed at examination.
A copper or hormonal IUD usually does not prevent treatment, but it is checked at examination. Tell the clinic when you book. The treatment is described under non-surgical vaginal tightening.
