Overview
Hair loss affects both men and women and has a profound impact on confidence and self-image. At Atelier Aesthetics, Dr. Sin Yong offers a complete spectrum of hair restoration treatments — from non-invasive laser therapy to surgical transplantation — tailored to each patient's degree of loss, underlying cause and goals.
A thorough scalp and hair assessment at consultation determines the most appropriate protocol. Dr. Sin Yong treats the cause, not just the symptom — addressing follicle health, scalp condition and hormonal factors alongside physical restoration.
Dr. Sin Yong's H2LT (Hair Hyperstimulation Laser Therapy) is his proprietary laser protocol for follicle stimulation and hair density restoration — non-invasive, no needles, no downtime. The protocol delivers targeted laser energy to the scalp to stimulate dormant follicles, improve scalp circulation and increase hair shaft thickness.
H2LT is particularly effective as a standalone treatment for early-to-moderate hair thinning, and as a maintenance protocol following hair transplantation to protect existing follicles and prolong graft longevity.
For patients with established hair loss requiring permanent restoration, Dr. Sin Yong performs FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplantation — a minimally invasive surgical technique that harvests individual follicular units from the donor area and places them precisely in the thinning or bald zones.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and growth factor therapy uses your own blood's growth factors — concentrated and injected into the scalp — to stimulate follicle regeneration, reduce miniaturisation and improve overall hair shaft quality. Often used as part of a combined H2LT + PRP programme.
No laser compensates for a hormonal driver you have not controlled.
Suitable candidates for hair transplantation have a stable donor area with sufficient follicular density to harvest. Dr. Sin Yong will assess your scalp, degree of loss, donor density and hair characteristics at consultation. Hair loss should ideally be stabilised before transplantation.
Most patients notice reduced shedding within the first few sessions, with visible density improvement becoming more apparent over 3–6 months of treatment. A consultation with Dr. Sin Yong will establish a realistic timeline based on your individual hair loss pattern.
Yes. Both H2LT and hair transplantation are performed for women. Female pattern hair thinning, diffuse shedding and hairline recession all have appropriate treatment options. Dr. Sin Yong will assess the underlying cause of hair loss at consultation.
Transplanted follicles taken from the donor area are genetically resistant to the hormone DHT (the primary cause of male and female pattern baldness) and are therefore permanent. However, existing non-transplanted follicles may continue to thin over time — Dr. Sin Yong will advise on a long-term maintenance plan.
Yes — and this is often recommended. H2LT post-transplant improves graft survival, stimulates existing follicles and maintains the quality of non-transplanted hair. Pre-transplant H2LT can also optimise scalp health before surgery.
