What To Expect

What To Expect
At A G Lift Appointment

Knowing what happens at each step makes the first visit easier. Every step is private, and you can stop or ask questions at any point.

Before

Before you come

Bring your latest cervical screening result if you have one, a list of medicines, and any notes from previous gynaecological treatment. Avoid booking during your period if possible. You can ask for a female chaperone when you book.

Consultation

The consultation

Dr. Sin Yong asks about childbirth, menopause, symptoms such as dryness, leakage or pain, and what you hope to change. A private examination follows, with a chaperone available, to check the tissue, the pelvic floor and anything that needs a gynaecologist first. Dr. Sin Yong is an aesthetic physician with the Professional Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RCPI); anything that needs a gynaecologist is referred.

Treatment

The treatment

For G Lift, a slim radiofrequency applicator with a single-use cover is placed in the vaginal canal and moved in passes while temperature is monitored. Most women feel warmth. For GF Lift, the external skin of the bikini line and inner thighs is then treated with the R2 Glow and T2 Frax lasers, with numbing cream if needed.

After

After the treatment

You can usually return to work the same day. Aftercare instructions are given at the clinic and in G Lift aftercare. A review is arranged to decide whether further sessions are useful. The treatment itself is described on the G Lift and GF Lift page.
