Comparison

Radiofrequency vs Laser
For Vaginal Laxity And Dryness

Both use heat to remodel collagen in the vaginal wall, but they deliver it differently. Here is how they compare, without a winner.

How They Work

Two ways to deliver heat

Radiofrequency passes an electrical current through the tissue, warming it evenly to a controlled temperature, usually without injuring the surface. Vaginal laser (fractional CO2 or erbium) makes tiny controlled injuries in the lining, which heal with new collagen and a thicker surface layer.

Evidence

What the evidence says

Studies of both show improvement in laxity and dryness for some women, but many are small and short. Regulators have warned against marketing either as a cure for incontinence or as a treatment for menopause symptoms without proper assessment. A medical check comes first.

At Atelier

What Atelier offers

Atelier offers radiofrequency, as G Lift non-surgical vaginal tightening, not vaginal laser. Lasers are used only on external skin for brightening in GF Lift.

FAQ

Common Questions

Radiofrequency is usually felt as warmth and needs no anaesthetic. Vaginal laser can feel like snapping and may need numbing. Comfort varies between women.
They are rarely needed together. The choice depends on whether laxity or thinning is the main problem and on your medical history, which is discussed at consultation.
